July Geoscientist

I'll be drawing some new ones soon, my last big batch is almost finished. One thing I didn't think about with this one is that in July people don't tend to need fireplaces, well in the UK at least. Ho hum.

  1. Not sure about your summer, but here I think I could do will a small fire. I like the story and I'm scrutinizing how you rendered the flow of cognac in the glass, the nice décor, one could almost hear the wood fire cracking noises.

Keep up with the good inspiration!

Oh one question: what kind of drawing pens do you use? I've stocked up faber-castell brush pens for the rest of my life (at the rate I'm (not) using them). You can pretend it's BBQ coal (with that silly summer, that might be the best way to use it).

  2. Hi Mojo,

    Cheers!

I draw with a pretty cheap retractable pencil first then most of the ink with simple papermate medium tip pen, not very good quality and it smudges if you don't let it dry.

I use a brush&ink or a brushpen for the thicker lines and my old 0.15mm geological mapping pens for the very fine stuff (though any fine tip artist pen would be similar.

Indeed! I too have bought my own body weight in pens.

    Cheers

    Dave
