Finished my Gin Palace story at the weekend. A huge 5 page rollercoaster about a scientific experiment gone wrong. It's based on Miller and Urey's experiment to create amino acids in a primitive earth atmosphere, and thus potentially the building blocks of life in lab glassware. Miller and Urey were successful, but I do wonder how much leaching from the rubber tubing played a part.
I did this pretty quickly, not even bothering to use ruler and set square for the frames. I'm mostly pleased with the drawings, a few frames don't quite have 'it' but there you go. I'm spending a bit too much time on photoshop instead of the drawing board for my liking too. Will have to try and go back to the old ways of ink washes for the backgrounds. Ho hum.
The Title is Little Scary Monsters.
This is great .. you just get better and better ... and a little odder :o)
ReplyDeleteCheers Dave, it was great fun to do. The first time in a little while I just sat at my desk, stopped being precious and drew.
ReplyDeleteI should point out that a colleague spotted my deliberate mistake that the glassware in the picture is in fact a separatory funnel and not a flask. Sorry everyone!
